Designed exclusively for later-model Gehmann irises with a detachable front thread and without the 1.5x magnifying dioptre, this precision-engineered accessory securely mounts a 23mm prescription lens on the eye side of the rear sight.
The adjustable rail-mounted design allows the lens holder to be positioned for optimum eye relief and alignment. The lens carrier can also be removed from the rail during installation, making it easier to fit your prescription lens before returning it to the desired position.
Installation is straightforward using the supplied Gehmann iris spanner. The original detachable steel front thread is removed, the 501 adaptor is fitted to the iris, and the complete assembly is mounted to the rear sight. Radial adjustment allows precise positioning before being securely locked in place.

How to fit
Remove the detachable steel front thread of your iris with the factory spanner.
The 501 adaptor thread can then be screwed into the front of your Gehmann iris.
Now with your iris mounted, the 501 can be screwed into your rearsight after loosening the rail carrier’s allen screw.
Mount your prescription lens in the lens holder, which may be slid off the rail for easier assembly.
Reposition the lens holder on the rail as required and lock it in place.
Positioning of the assembly on your rearsight is easily set as the attachment boss has radial adjustment and is simply secured with the allen screw located in the front body.
