The 565 Rear Sight Iris combines a precision adjustable aperture with an advanced colour filter and twin polarising filter system, allowing shooters to optimise their sight picture for a wide range of lighting conditions. Incorporating the patented Gehmann 510 iris, the aperture is adjustable from 0.5mm to 3.0mm, providing precise control over depth of field and target clarity.
Six optically flat glass colour filters can be selected individually to enhance contrast, while the independently adjustable twin polarising filters help reduce distracting reflections and flickering light. By adjusting the position of the two polarising filters relative to each other, light transmission can be continuously varied from approximately 90% down to 10%, enabling precise control of image brightness to suit changing conditions.
The filters may be used individually or in combination, or the unit can simply be used as a standard adjustable iris. A removable threaded connector also allows compatible accessories, such as the Gehmann 0.0x Diopter, to be fitted, while the anti-reflective finish and laser-engraved markings ensure excellent durability and ease of use.
