Gun Maintenance is essential, the chamber and bore should be cleaned with something like Youngs ‘303’, every time you shoot, fouling should never be left in the chamber of barrel as this can lead to rust forming underneath the fouling and subsequently damaging the barrel. For moving parts you need to use Express Gun Oil or something similar. One of the things we do often here is to apply the oil to a cloth and then wipe over the outside of the gun to remove acidic fingerprints and other fouling and leave the gun with a level of protection before its next outing.
